What we did...

Schools360 and Playfiveaside approached Lollard Street adventure playground to redevelop its desolate tarmac space. The adventure playground had 2 tarmac courts in need of desperate repair.

After 1 year of discussions it was agreed that a new multi sports surface be put down in both areas:

Independent low level floodlighting to ensure residents do not complain.
Markings for netball, hockey and football were essential.
New goals were required.
A member of staff was required on site at all times.
All maintenance was to be carried out by Playfiveaside and Schools360 for a given period of time.

A new 5 a side and 7 a side sports pitch was developed. Markings were provided for both hockey and netball.

Schools360 and Playfiveaside continue to run and manage this facility 9am-10pm Monday-Sunday with hours dedicated within these time slots for community use and school hire.

A Roof net was to be fitted.
New goals were required.
A member of staff was required on site at all times.
All maintenance was to be carried out by Schools360 and Playfiveaside for a given period.
Schools360 and Playfiveaside to assist in after school coaching delivery.

A new 5 a side football pitch was developed but in addition to this greater lets were recorded inside the building due to mass exposure of the new facility in the heart of Waterloo .

Schools360 and Playfiveaside continues to run and manage this facility 9am-10pm Monday-Sunday with hours dedicated in this for community use and school hire.

What we did...

Schools 360 and Playfiveaside approached Bethwin Adventure Playground to redevelop its desolate tarmac space. The Council had provided the playground funding to convert it into a MUGA but this wasnt suitable as it could not be used to let out and generate revenue.

The pitch must be a multi sports surface allowing for all sports to be played.
Markings for netball, hockey and football were essential.
In set goals must be kept.
A member of staff was required on site at all times.
All maintenance was to be carried out by Schools 360 and Playfiveaside for a set period of time.

A new 5 a side football pitch was developed that. Markings were provided for both hockey and netball and new low level floodlights were installed to ensure no light spill into residential property.

Schools360 and Playfiveaside continue to run and manage this facility Monday-Thursday 630-930pm.

Schools360 and Playfiveaside approached Castlehaven Community Association to redevelop its desolate tarmac space. It was a magnificent space but was very under utilised and Castlehaven saw the potential of redeveloping the space.

After lengthy negotiations Castlehaven set several conditions:

The pitch must be a multi sports surface allowing for all sports to be played.
Markings for netball, hockey and football were essential.
New goals were required.
A member of staff was required on site at all times.
All maintenance was to be carried out by Schools360 and Playfiveaside.

A new 9 a side football pitch was developed that could be divided via netting into 3 5 a side pitches. Markings were provided for both hockey and netball and the storage space next to the football pitch was converted into a tuck shop office to allow for site management.

What we did...

Schools 360 and Playfiveaside approached Weavers Adventure playground to add fencing and floodlighting to a pitch funded by Capital FM. It was a magnificent space but to improve the sustainability of the playground a plan was devised to generate income via evening lettings.

After several meetings, planning permissions were approved and the conditions of use were:

The pitch must be a multi sports surface allowing for all sports to be played.
Markings for netball, hockey and football were essential.
New goals were required.
A member of staff was required on site at all times.
All maintenance was to be carried out by Schools360 and Playfiveaside for a set period.
Shut down time of 8pm and no weekend use.

A new 5 a side football pitch was developed with floodlights allowing for after school clubs to take place at the playground. Evening lettings have also allowed for Weavers Adventure Playground to become self sufficient.

Schools360 and Playfiveaside continues to run and manage this facility.
